The Principles That Guide Our Platform
Two founding documents establish the ground rules for participation on this platform. One governing how members engage with each other, one defining the minimum democratic values that unite us across our differences.
Civic Conduct Charter
The Round Table exists to support civil, democratic, and constructive dialogue among Iranians of differing views.
Participants are free to express disagreement, advocate for their positions, and debate important national questions. However, personal attacks, threats, harassment, intimidation, dehumanisation, incitement, and anti-democratic conduct are not acceptable. Members are expected to challenge ideas rather than attack individuals, and, wherever possible, to distinguish between fact, interpretation, and opinion. The purpose of this platform is not to impose uniformity, but to foster respectful coexistence, disciplined dialogue, and democratic culture.
